About

PhD Studentship

I am currently a PhD student in the Department of Linguistics at Queen Mary University of London. My sociolinguistic and ethnographic research is funded by the London Interdisciplinary Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (LISS DTP), of the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

Bid writing and management

I support in the writing and management of funding and commercial bids, presenting complex, discipline-specific knowledge as impactful proposals and translating colleagues' input into successful applications.

Teaching and Education

I trained as a qualified teacher (PGDE) and taught in schools across West London. I am a member of the Chartered College of Teaching (MCCT).

Trans and nonbinary research

I'm a member of the Association of Nonbinary and Trans Language Researchers (ANTLR), which seeks to support trans scholars in language research, to advocate for trans people on language-related issues, and to promote more inclusive and supportive working environments for trans people doing language research.

With Farida Soliman, I co-chair the Exploring the Nonbinary reading group at Queen Mary University of London.
